Commissioning James Moore METAL SCULPTURE
PUBLIC METAL SCULPTURE COMMISSIONS
Public art commissions are complex and full of challenges. And they each come with a unique process of working with municipalities, public art commissions, and a diverse selection of community stakeholders. With decades of experience in these types of commissions, I understand the need for professionalism, extra communication, and flexibility with each new set of relationships.
Every process for Public Commission is unique, just like the artwork which will fill the intended space.
CORPORATE METAL SCULPTURE COMMISSIONS
Often initiated by art advisors, consultants, and architects, I welcome corporate Commission relationships with experience. The resulting artwork’s sense of invitation and communication and its strength and durability make it an attractive installation for capital improvement projects.
PRIVATE METAL SCULPTURE COMMISSIONS - You can privately commission me to create a personalized version of the work.
I make it simple and fun for you:
We’ll have a conversation about your space and special wants or needs and come to a written agreement for the commission.
The fabrication of your unique artwork begins.
Your unique artwork arrives in your space for years of enjoyment.
Do you have a particular space to fill, or are you interested in a particular theme? We will have a series of conversations to understand your interests, personal aesthetic, space, and project parameters. From there, we’ll agree on a plan for the scope, scale, and budget, leading to a written Commission Agreement.
I create initial sketches or models of 1 to 3 initial designs to narrow the direction.
The initial designs are refined and revised with your input to one final design.
Fabrication of the artwork starts with your approval of the final design.
You will receive periodic work-in-progress images.
With your approval of the completed artwork, we will schedule the delivery.
Your unique sculpture becomes a part of life as a reminder of the feelings which inspired the artwork.
I look forward to connecting with you and working toward a commissioned project for your residence or a public location that delights you and others.
